They don't have a name badge or an identity card. Even if they do they don't really have it on their person all the time.

Nevertheless it's so easy to guess who they are.

By what they do.

They are the bus drivers and helpers, mess workers and cleaners. They are referred to by their jobs more than their names.

And you can see that they take pride in their jobs.

Like the bus driver who deftly navigated hairpin bends and his helper who solved the problem before half of us in the bus knew there's a problem; the two smiley-faced mess paatis who asked me to take some more rice and the multitude of people who lubricate the bearings of our life.

All of this was during the Ooty trip.

It's their job, I know. It's still inspiring. 

They are the people you'll remember for life even when you don't know their name.
